ive rolled back before, but i used asus update

I tryed to roll back my bios when I reformatted my drive to install a fresh xp. Was Having proplems in comtrol panel>systems saying other device>pci device. Formatted 4 times.
Thinking it might have been the bios update. I tryed to roll back but no luck. Turn out I had to take out my 2900 xt and put back my 1950xt and install xp and all the undates without installing drivers for the card.

Then when I put back the 2900xt. proplem went away.

True that. I feel like if you use the beta bios you can't roll back for some reason.

Which memory brand you using?
OCZ ddr2-800 2x1gb
on my old p5b's back in the day, and the ga-965p-ds3 i had recently, ran them fine 2.1v 4-4-4-12, stock is 5-5-5-12. anyway, they have to be at 5-5-5-15 to run 667 on this bios

Well the asus bios update is a new version. Because you had to use the new version to update the bios. I even tryed the one for the bios itself with no luck.

Am using Gskill 4-4-4-12. with 1:1 ratio.I think I saw some people using those rams with no proplems mmmmm.

I'm using 1216, no problems at all.

I update bios with a USB thumb drive using the flash utility in bios. I have rolled back to an earlier bios version before using this method without any problems. It's the preferred method to use according to ASUS last time I checked.

thats exactly how im doing it, but ez flash says the rom selected is older than the installed one, and quits the execution

I don't know how to tell you to roll back, but i'm running bios 1004 and its fine. I may up to 1215 since seems most are having good luck with it

i found afudos v2.11 on a floppy let me do it, im on 1101 now, 3.6ghz 1.5v is more stable than before
