Default 680i bios troubles

I'm having problems with my bios partially resetting, it happens about once a day, what happens is when I turn on my computer it does a full memory test instead of skipping it, it also sets it to think I have a floppy drive so then it would say "Floppy disk failure". I have to go into the BIOS and load the defaults but even then it wont recognize my hard drives so I have to restart the bios for it to regognise them. This has been happening for a while but originally it only happened when I turned the power to the computer off for a specific amount of time, it is doing it daily now regardless of whether it is getting power or not. I thought it was the BIOS battery causing the problem so I tried replacing it but it didn't change.

I'm going to try updating the BIOS and see if that does any difference.

Have you tried replacing the battery?
Or maybe just remove and reinstall to insure good connection?

99.9% chance of a faulty/dying battery. Call evga and have them send you a replacement.. it should be free.

I did try replacing the battery, which didn't work, I've updated the BIOS so I'll wait it out and see if it still does it.

@ Silent, which jumper are you talking about?
