sorry to hear about your asus board . It's reading of stories like this I'm afraid to get 1403. It's no longer beta either... hopefully they fixed it.

i know it is late info, but you can flash to older bios using the asus utility as long as you set the "bios downgradeable" selection in the options

not that i would suggest anyone use the asus utility though. flashing bios through windows is sillyness

That is a shame. Is your BIOS chip soldered to the board, or is it in a socket? If it's in a socket, it's removable. You should be able to buy a replacement, which would be much cheaper than a new board.
