Exclamation When updating P5N32-E SLI - PC hang up

When I was updating motherboard bios my PC hang up. Lucky everything works. PC hang up when ASUSUpdate display Begin to erase EEPROM".

Why my PC hang up?
What means Begin to erase EEPROM"?
How I can update bios now?


System Win Xp Sp2
I was updating with ASUSUpdate V7.08.02
Motherboard Asus P5N32-E SLI NF 680i
Current bios 1002 (03/28/2007)
Bios what i like to update 1403 (15/02/2008 ) (Downloaded from Asus site)

don't use the asus update. Always update the bios through the bios. Put the rom file on a flash drive, and load it from there.
