I recently built a PC using the Intel DQ35JO mobo and Wolfdale E8400 Core 2 Duo CPU which I verified had a killer benchmark as a system. Problem is, the BIOS (Intel JOQ3510J.86A ver. 757 dated 1/20/2008 does not allow changes to the FSB, or multiplier. The system screams as is, but I want to experiment with the overclocking. Is there a) a different BIOS that can be burned or installed; or b) an external application that can access/modify these settings without using the BIOS?
I have an Antec 900 case and a huge Zalman CPU fan; all I need now is a way to set the FSB. Here is the config from CPU-Z: Core Speed: 2989.6MHz Multiplier: x9.0 Bus Speed: 333.2MHz Rated FSB: 1328.7MHz BIOS: Intel JOJQ3510.86a.0757.2008.0120.2100 Chipset: Intel Q35 Memory ============ DRAM Freq: 398.6MHz FSB/DRAM: 5:6 CL: 5.0 clocks tRCD: 5.0 clocks tRP: 5.0 clocks tRAS: 18 clocks CR: 2T tRC: 22 Voltage: 1.8V |

Hello.
I bought DQ35JO board yesterday. In the bios there were memory voltage options so I changed the DDR2 voltage to 2.2 for my ballistix ram. The next time I went into the bios the DDR2 voltage option had disappeared. It is no longer there. There is no way of monitoring DDR2 voltage on this board anymore. How did you get your DDR2 voltage of 1.8? Did you read it in the bios or is it because you know that this board only supplies 1.8v to DDR2? Also, does your board allow you to change the timings? The manual says you can only use 5-5-5 DDR2 800 but I am successfully using 4-4-4-12. I look forward to your reply. |
