Default creating a custom bios

is it possible to create or modify a existing bios in order to strengthen security features such as disabling booting to anything other than a hard drive and other password restrictions? I know that there are features like above on a lot of bios's but how hard would it be to just tweak them to give them the missing features if the manufacturer's website has not updated them?

No, I don't believe you can.

You can set what you want, change the boot order to boot from the hard drive first, then set a BIOS password, and Key lock your computer case, so they cannot reset the BIOS.

yes I can do that on a different computer but not on this one. I want to be able to boot from a usb drive and overall lock down the bios to make it as protected as possible

there's a massive room somewhere in Japan where a couple thousand people sit at computers working on this stuff all day long, all month long, all year long.

Short answer: no. no custom bios for you.

There are plenty of BIOS editing utilities out there, you could very probably do this. Given how many modded BIOSes have been made for a variety of boards, and the extent of some of these mods, it's not at all far fetched.

However, the learning curve is rather high. I've dabbled a bit and quickly came to the conclusion that it would be easier to become fluent in a new language.

You could check here if you're wanting to learn about BIOS modding:
