Hey I'm sorry I put this topic in this section, but I couldn't find another appropriate section. Anyway, i don't know much about networking and what not, but I was wondering, In my room I havee a router or modem not sure which one, which connects to one cable to the wall which then enables it to split up and add multiple lan cables. I was wondering is all I have to do to get wireless is buy a wireless modem and just switch it in to the old one?

Sounds like your already using a router (with in built modem). What particular model is it?

IMO you have a modem. If that is the case, all you need to do is just go and buy a wireless router and you would be ready to have wireless internet access.
