Default Help w/ Maximus Formula BIOS

Hi, I upgraded my BIOS today, but it is not stable. How do I downgrade? I tried using the flash utility in the BIOS, but it told me the version I have is newer and wouldn't let me update.

update to a newer bios.. the 1201 is supposedly the best or you can flash the rampage bios and use the 0408 bios which is the best for that board so far.

I flashed 1201 today and now my computer won't boot, even with default settings.

1: Download the bios of your choice:

2: Download AFUDOS Engineering Version:

v2.29ES (needed to flash to an older bios)

3: Make a bootable cd dvd floppy or pendrive
(can use nero to make bootable cd dvd remember to include files before burning)

4: Include AFUDOS.exe to your cd dvd floppy or pendrive

5: Include the bios files u want to test to the same cd dvd floppy or pendrive

6: hit F8 under boot so u can choose the cd dvd floppy or pendrive

7: Once the DOS Prompt is ready, type the following to flash:

AFUDOS /i**INSERT*BIOS*FILENAME*HERE** /pbnc /n

Please note the "/i" that comes before the bios filename, this is required for any flash with AFUDOS. And also please note the extension on the bios file in use, you'll need to use this too.

This will erase, flash and verify the bios for you.

** taken and edited from here
u can alsow download whats needed here (bios's, afudos, bootable pendrive prog)
