Post Can't edit ami bios.

When I enter my bios it will not let me edit the processor or RAM entries. I am running a core 2 duo (e2180) 2.0 ghz. My bios is revision 5.04 (11/02/07).
Is there a trick to editing these entries? If not I need help with flashing the bios or a good recommendation of a supplier for one that will help me overclock my processor.

ok, I will need a whole lot more information

First, please fill out your system specs here so we know what kind of hardware we're talking about.

All you told us that it's an AMI bios... now, there are a ton of versions (just as many as there are motherboard models using AMI as their BIOS), so the make and model of your motherboard is essential information.

Given your question, I am guessing your have a DELL, HP, eMachines, or other brand pre-build machine. If this is the case, you cannot overclock using the BIOS, and flashing is NOT recommended at all!
