Default Dynamic Overclocking Technology

When manually overclocking should I enable the DOT (Dynamic Overclocking Technology)?

I don't like to use anything that I can't completely control. When I'm overclocking I usually do it manually. I have DOT on my parents board, but I just don't like it. In the past, I've had bad experiences w/ DOT. For example, it would cause the computer to OC at the wrong times.

If you dont like the signatures that go as follows "*insert high percentage here* of people have *insert random verb.* If you are part of the *enter low percentage that adds up to 100 with previous percentage* that *insert the antonym of the verb used previously* then put this in your signature" then put this in your signature!!!

Oh good, I thought it kind of silly to have it enabled when I am trying my hand at overclocking, it would seem to defeat the purpose, but I am new at this and I wanted to have some informed advice. Thank you!

hey man ... well dont be taken in by the fact that so many people here seem to be able to do it naturally.... everyone of us has probably screwed up a rig or two....right guys....?
But the thing is .... if you really wanna do it, you should try your hand at it.You'll learn a lot if you keep bugging ppl on the net, get some literature about it and most importantly make and correct a few mistakes... good luck...!
