Default Gigabyte EP45 DQ6 bad BIOS flash. Is it an RMA job?

Hey everyone,.

I just flashed my BIOS using qFlash, it said it was successful but now when I boot I get a black screen and nothing else.

I tried the following:

Unplug Power, Press and Hold Power Button.
Clear CMOS using new CMOS clear button.
Remove CMOS Battery.
Wait 15mins
Replace battery
Press Power Button,
Plug Back In
Try to boot again.

Is it looking like I need to send it back ???

Or is there anything else I can try.

Please note that this is a new system build and there were no operating systems present.

Any help would be great.

Jp :-/

Try booting with just one stick of RAM in and take out one 4870 and see if it will post.

there might not be enough SB voltage to handle your ram.

Do you hear the system beep?

Have you tried using only 1 stick of ram?

Have you removed anything that is not necessary for booting (usb junk, hard drives, cd drives, floppy, network cards, wireless cards, etc.)

Do the fans spin up?
