New to Overclock.net

sorry...but this question must have been asked a dozen times....
but i have little time to go googling it...so taking the fast way. ![]() ok...this is the first time i am gonna update my bios...and bit lost here and there... when i go to download a new bios....which one do i choose...must i choose the latest one only...or all the newer ones compared to mine? and does it really give better performance...especially Overclocking? for example, refer here and tell me which one should i choose? http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us right now...my ram (4gb Crucial Ballistics) only gives a 5.6 in Vista Rating...how much should it give? and which methods do u guys use to update the best? thx so much guyz.....

Usually get the latest bios that fixes any errors or updates the motherboard may have, i.e. support for newer cpus. I usually wait till final bios releases come out, beta versions are still being tested. Based on the descriptions I don't see any improvements for this board, except support for newer cpus.
The best method to flash your bios is by using a flash drive or a floppy disk. Also what version of bios do you have? And you probably won't get any more performance increase from the updates bios in this case.
