Hi, i have updated my motherboard to the latest bios, 1503 and I want to OC my CPU, an Q6600.
__________________So i read a few guides and continued to OC, all i had to do was increase the FSB from 1066 to 1333, as i want it to reach 3.0ghz. Everything looks fine, my ram is running at 800mhz, but when it loads windows the computer freezes after 1 min...any ideas? Btw the Vcore is set to 1.3V

Of certain Intel Wolfdare CPU in the BIOS setup. still strange, it doesn't show up on the "latest" tab...

Lol now it is there, 5 mins ago it wasn't
![]() Now to the problem... I had this mobo + my q6600, never got it stable. But you could try a little bit more vcore, but not much. What heatsink have you got? http://www.overclock.net/specs.php?do=addsystem Go there and fill in your computer specs.

i have a thermalright SI-128 SE with a Scythe S-FLEX 1600rpm
__________________LE: done with the computer specs :P so what voltage would you recommend? LE2: didn't work, gave it 1.34 on the vcore and i got a green bsod on the first boot and then a freeze on the second boot:| now i can't even OC the BIOS automatically sets the overclock to auto, so i'm at stock frequencies again...

I would try with 1,35 V, and also, have you increased the "cpu vtt" in the bios? And have you set the ram to "unlinked" Good luck
