Default Close Please

Well I was playing COD4 for a couple of hours and my computer blue screened. When I rebooted all my BIOS setting were reset to default. I have no clue what happened. My Overclock was stable OCCT and Prime95 small fft for 12 hours. It was a very mild overclock just 3.0 on a Q6600.

Anyone know what might have happened??? I dont even know where to start. I am running stock now to see how she does.

Thanks for any help with my problem.

Seems like instability to me. Anything change from when you first tested it until now? Higher ambient temps etc.?

No not that I can think of and the temp really has not changed. Maybe a few degrees F but nothing major.

OK now I am really lost. I changed everything back to default and just had it do it again. Playing COD4 for a couple hours. It did give me a BIOS Rom Checksum Error. I do not know what this means.

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks

Just an update. I flashed the BIOS and kept getting blue screen reboots. Did not get that checksum error anymore. Started testing the Ram and got errors. Opened up the case tested each stick individually and everything was fine. Put everything back in and she is working like a champ.

Now my question is Would RAM not seated correctly cause a BIOS corruption or do I still have a problem.

Thanks for your help...
