Default Killed Motherboard?

Ok, I updated my BIOS with the EZ Flash utility in the BIOS and all appeared to have gone fine. Then the computer restarted but nothing displayed, so I switched off the computer and tried to turn it back on, but nothing. Not even a fan spun.

I've got it back to where the fans will spin by taking out the battery for 10 mins and swapping the jumper to clear, but i'm not getting the Asus Boot Logo or anything, no beeps, nothing being sent to the screen. I fear I've killed my board...

Is there anything else I can do to even reset the bios back to what the board shipped with? Or is this it, do I have to RMA/get a new board?

Any help at all is much appreciated.

When I took out the battery, I unplugged and flipped the switch on the PSU.

is it the sys in your sig, if it i then unplug all your ide cables and anything unnecessary, put on a floppy drive and see if it tries to read the floppy on startup, if it does go on another system and make a boot floppy w/ bios flash (previous bios)

check all your power connector to your mobo

check if any cpu pin are bent if it was a custom build

If you have the original CD-Rom that shipped with the board, you can try the auto recovery. Just insert the CD-ROM into the DVD drive and reboot. The board should hopefully recover the original bios. There might also be instructions in the manual expaining how to download the latest bios, what to name the rom, and how to create a bios recovery disk.

While as others have said it may be a bios problem i doubt that....Pull all your ram out and see if you get any beeps from the board. My board (same as yours) yesterday decided to drop/kill 2 memory slots (not the ram itself) and with memory in the bad slots the board did nothing when i turned it on other than fans and HDD's spinning up.

Default Answer...

Jus use your Motherboard cd to recover your bios.....
nd then to update use winflash if u are noob wit other ways..

WINFLASH will automatically update your bios in windows without the hasles of DOS or booting up on removable media...

Winflash is also providied on your motherboard Cd ..by the name of ez flash...

PS:while using Motherboard cd to recover bios press alt+f2 to get into safe flash mode....
