i was trying to update bios and the computer shut off in the middle so now it wont post what can i do the board is a DFI lnp dk x48 t2rs ,it will be hard to fix , dfi say no RMA for me ,but i can send it and they will fix but with a bill, it's worth it or should get another mobo?

Can you please explain why they wont RMA?

As for a fix, I cant think of anything. Shutdowns in the middle of a bios flash are not recoverable in most instances.

If they do fix it, they shouldnt charge more then $25 to fix. So I would send it in as a worst case.

the bios is probably bricked... what DFI will do is just replace the BIOS chip on your motherboard, and ship it back to you, won't be too expensive... I suggest you do that

But I still want to know why DFI wont RMA! I would not be happy about that at all...

cause i got it on line as an open box so i have no invoice number nor receipt so they say is going to be 35 dlls + ship

try e-mailing or phoning newegg (I assumed the open box deal was from newegg) and they should be able to ring up the invoice, as they should have it stored...

Did you get it from newegg as an open box? If you did, I know others who have faught with them about it and won. I wont buy DFI if their customer service goes this route.

no, i got from ebay i pay 100 bucks ,the seller told me that he got it from neweeg and he can send me a copy of the receipt but DFI will take it ?

hmm, thats tricky... most companies don't honor dual ownership of parts for warranties... if you haven't old DFI already, you could try convincing them that you are the original owner of the board, although that won't really go down well if they ask for ID.. I would pay the 35$
