Default Asus P5LD2 Deluxe Bios update

Im feeling a little overwhelmed after reading the asus site as to how to update my bios and tbh I still have no clue how to go about it.

The reason Im updating is because my computer still reads 3gigs of ram even though i have 4gigs and run vista ultimate 64 plus the fact that my bios is from 2005.

I talked to their tech support and he said to just download afudos and it should automatically update it but it says its incompatible with vista when i click on it. Any help is much appreciated.
