Default Gigabyte ga-p35-ds3l

hey guys got this mobo and my ati 4870 does not work, the techi guy at saphire said that I need to update the BIOS... not usually a problem but with 64-bit vista it is. I went onto gigabyte website and the driver for the bios there (http://www.giga-byte.com/Support/Mot...ProductID=2629) i downloaded it and it sais it is not compatible with 64-bit? soo I also cant find a 64-bit driver...

What are the symptoms? what exactly is the problem?

Edit: err nvm, but just be aware some 4870's have problems with Vista x64 alone, regardless of mobo.

The problem with the BIOS exe you download is that it is a 32bit Self extracting archive (SFX) so you either just need to install winrar or winzip and unpackage it or have someone link you do that for you and repost.

Since I Mod the Gigabyte Support forum, I of course would be so kind. Here you are the latest 2 NON Beta BIOS's not package/zipped/rar'd up and of course the Beta one just incase >>>>

F7
http://www.mediafire.com/?tzgyea3zzqk

F8
http://www.mediafire.com/?uj2mmyyzkam

F9a
http://www.mediafire.com/?mdzwzmmmhyz

And here they all are package in one (Zip or RAR) for you, packed in a x64 system >>>

F7-9a ZIP
http://www.mediafire.com/?jzmwjkeymmy

F7-9a RAR
http://www.mediafire.com/?odmydnz55az

Use Qflash and a Floppy or USB. DO NOT USE @BIOS!!!

If you need help with how to use Qflash, I posted a guide here >>>
