Default Crossflashing Asus P5e3 Premium to Rampage Extreme

Well like the title says; I'm interested in crossflashing my Asus P5e3 (X48, DDR3) Premium/WiFi-AP@n motherboard to it's RoG counterpart; the Rampage Extreme (for the extra BIOS tweaking options and possible better stability).

Now I've seen a lot of people do this on the X38 boards and a few with X48+DDR2, but none with the DDR3 versions.

So has anyone tried this and with what result?
And if successfull, what BIOS version etc?

P.S. I don't use Wifi

It was tested at XtremeSystems.org on the P5E3 and the Maximus Extreme and it didnt take. I know the Maximus Extreme booted, but it didnt allow for voltage adjustments at all. The Rampage Extreme is physically different in to many ways to ba able to cross flash I'm afraid.

Yes they are the X38, which is the same physical chipset, just lower binned chips then the X48.

Try messaging simri at XS, he is the one who has been doing all the testing:
