I set my vcore in cell menu to 1.750v but cpu z, the bios and all the other monitoring software reads 1.4-1.43v!! Is this safe?

Well, 1.4-1.43v is safe for a Q6600, but 1.750v is not at all healthy. Max voltage for those chips should be 1.5v, maybe 1.55v if you can keep it cool and want to push it a bit. 1.75v is definitely more than you want to try with a Q6600. However, if your bios is reading that much of a drop, something is probably wrong. Do you have the latest bios? That might help with the drop. Otherwise, you could look for a pencil mod for that board to make the drop less.
OH also, there might be a bios option to enable vdrop reduction to help with that. I know my asus has somehting like that, that makes the vdrop a lot less.

Yes they are diasabled. So it means that i should stop overclocking if my vdrop is that much? I dont think i will be diong any pencil mod. Also i got 74c for highest core already and i've been testing for only 30mins on prime95. Should i stop?

I recommend the pencil mod, if you want to continue the overclock, since the high volts are causing high temps, as a matter of fact too high. Factory rated is 71C max for a Q6600.
No worries with the Pencil Mod since I did it and can tell you how if you want which helped me get stable for my Q6600 @ 3.2GHz with an unlucky VID of 1.325.

It's important to note that that is only for the G0 stepping. For B3 stepping it is 62C.

considering your comp probably died right after you asked "should I stop" I think you need to read up before you go crazy with your overclocks when you get your replacement cpu back. There is so much info out there, there shouldn't be questions/situations like this.
