Default Help with E4500 CPU

Hey guys i've just been overclocking as it was recommended by a fellow overclock.net member. I have been overclocking through Easy Tune 6 and ive got up to 280fsb x 11 (3080 Mhz) , but now i am stuck, i know its not my RAM as i saw a way to underclock it in my BIOS From its normal 667Mhz to 400Mhz which is pretty cool, and im pretty sure my motherboard ain't ran out of fsb fuel , so it pretty much leeves it to the chip's fault, ok lemme get to the point lol , if i increase voltage can i overclock it more? and what is a safe voltage for the E4500?

Nice one

What's your current voltage?
I know that Intel's recommended voltage for 45nm is like 1.35 or something, but since it's 65nm you could probably make it higher.
And yes, you can overclock it more with a higher voltage, although you should try to increase the FSB and lower the multiplier.

E4500 is 65nm. I've run as much as 1.8 for benching. It took me 1.7 to get a POST at 3.9. Highest I have BOOTed windows is 3.6 at 1.6

Although an E4500 will run at 2.2 as low as 1.2 Vcore to get anything out of it you need to increase not only Vcore but PLL and FSB volts.

For Prolonged runs stay under 1.6 but for benching it can handle the volts..

Hmm what about the PLL and FSB termination volts , i don't know the safety barriers for them.

You could grab something cheap like a Xigmatek HDT-S1283 or one of it's smaller variants to get better temps
