Default Do I have the latest 750iFTW BIOS update?

Should the registry show E175_sz1I under the BIOS version?

I seem to be missing a couple options I see mentioned on here. When I got the main board i did update the BIOS but it seems I may have not gotten the newest one.

When I look in regedit my bios version shows REG_SZ 6.00 PG
and the BIOS vender is Phonex technologies with an update stamp of 8 12 08. Under system version it has a 1 and baseboard version shows a 1. I see the latest version on EVGAs website, and I could swear that's what I flashed to 4 weeks ago.

I'm confused... as usual.

Actually, all that really matters is what the BIOS says about itself.

When I flashed my mobo's bios in order to use the E8400, I think the version number didn't change on bootup. But, I noticed small differences. For example, there was new red text in the voltage adjustment area that was warning me about increasing my voltage, and it has a typo. If I remember right, this typo is a space after or before a comma that just shouldn't be there.

Not only that, but my E8400 works with the mobo. Not only that, but the flashing process showed me that it was flashing, and then it said it was 100% successful or something.

So, I didn't worry about it. And so if the flashing process told you that it was successful, then you have nothing to worry about.

Check out my version. I saw nothing about my version after the update. But, I didn't check my registry because I didn't think it would affect the registry.

Anyway, I hope somebody else can come along and shed some more sure light on this.

the link you posted doesn't go anywhere.

I had the same results, I made a flash disk, it says it worked, I would assume it's the correct BIOS, I just found it odd that it doesn't list the name as SZ1

If a couple people could reboot and look at the top line of the bootup screen or go into regedit and look at the system bios version I'd appreciate it. Just want to make sure I have it right

Well, to see what I saw, just look up the BIOS Updates for the 680i. I see nothing about that BIOS version at the POST. It just says the 6.00 or whatever. But I don't care. I know it worked for a few reasons: one, it said it was successful. I watched it flash it. 2nd, there was that new red-text message warning me about increasing the voltage. And 3rd, the E8400 works on this mobo now whereas it would not have worked before the flash update (according to what I've read).

So, as long as it says it worked, I honestly don't see any need to worry about it.
