Is there a way to update an Asus Mobo's BIOS without a floppy disk since I dhave no floppy drive?

I don't ever remember updating my Asus board BIOS with a floppy. It was through OS. Have you checked the steps on how to upgrade the BIOS from the Asus website?

You can burn it to a cd or use a flashdrive I think, I used a usb drive on my asus.

Yes and the two ways they show (at least regarding my board) you need a floppy.

How do you get it to boot from a USB drive? Just changing the boot order will boot the ROM even if the ROM is the only file on the USB drive?

there is 3 ways. floppy, bios tool, windows app.
i usually used the bios tool. if the bios is in the root of the drive(this includes hd's and usb/thumbs). it will see it and allow you to up date. so no need of dos based application.
