Default Brand new Q6600
Yeah, so my friend his comp arrived today.
and i'm getting this thing install ready for him.

I trew vista 64 bit on it, and I also installed the gpu drivers and stuff.

Thing is, I tried to check the cpu temps using everest home edition, and when i clicked the sensor tab on mobo it gave a message and nothing shows up there.

Same with the sensors tab inside the 'computer' group.
I'm thinking this is because its the default bios or something on the mobo.

The company the pc is ordered from essambled the comp, so i have no clue if they did anything with the bios or something.

I never installed a bios or updated it before, so i have no clue how to do this (if its nessicary)

The mobo is a Gigabyte EP45-DS3, its brand new and I think the BIOS isent changed or w/e needs to be done.

I don't remember the message, it only showed once and after that i just get a blank window when i click the censor tab.

HW monitor & Coretemp both do their job
I guess something went wrong during the everest install.

Anyway, i can monitor the temps now

did you overclock it? what VID does it have? ooh please feed us the info because too many say that the latest q66 are 1.325v VID and poor overclockers ...
