The most current release for the Abit IP35-E (and likely the last) provides support on the board for all of the newer 45nm processors. 17 supported the E7300 I have on the board but would not read an E8600 correctly.
Version 18 supports the e8600 perfectly.
Funny how such a cheap board has no difficulty whatsoever sustaining 500 FSB on a 24/7 basis.
