I just want to be up-to-date.
I have no problem with the F6 BIOS (which the board shipped with) I'm looking to use QFlash and just update to the F10 BIOS. What improvements can I expect from the new BIOS over my old? Will I ( and what) see improvements regarding overclocking?

Usually, if there is nothing wrong with the old BIOS, leave it be. They should list the improvements on the Gigabyte website. If there is nothing that effects you, I wouldn't bother. Although the risk is small, there is still a risk.
edit: There is a fix for a vista issue in the F10 BIOS. If you think you may be having any issues related to this, you may want to flash. Again, if it ain't broke.... http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/M...ProductID=2842

Flashing the Motherboard BIOS is unnecessary if you are not having any problems. You can really fudge things up with a bad BIOS flash. I would not take the risk if it is not needed. I speak from experience BTW, a very BAD experience.
If you are dead set on updating your BIOS, go through the list of the different BIOS's, and pick the one that gives YOU the best opportunity for improvement. Another option is to order new BIOS chips that are already flashed, and just switch out the chips. This is the safe way to go.

Wait so, The most recent BIOS is not [always] the best one to have?
I have Dual Bios so if I have a bad flash, I always have back up bios.

Not always. I had a Biostar that worked better on an older BIOS. In general, unless it fixes something major, it will be fine. You can try it an see. That's the only way to be sure. (barring others testing and such)

Here is my experience.
My board came with BIOS rev. 1402. I had the same idea as you...if it's newer, it must be better. So I decided to get the Rev. 2101. Big mistake. BIOS would not even post. After resetting CMOS several times, I got it to boot into BIOS, but not Vista. So I went back to the Asus website (on my laptop) and carefully studied the BIOS revisions, and settled on Rev. 1701. Now everything works beautifully, though it was a very very very long night ![]() So long story short (too late), NO, the newest BIOS is not always the best for YOU.

The p45 Gigabyte boards all have dual bioses... So at worst you will be reduced to just the one. If you absolutely have to flash make sure you do it through either DOS or Q-flash.
The majority of borked bios flashes arise through flashing in windows. I did the same thing you are looking to do... And backed up my F6 bios just incase.
