hah, ive been with Asus all my life in computers and the only problem ive ever had was with a p5K premium where one of the ram slots didnt work, Asus make great boards, the best amnufacturers of quality boards ,are Asus and DFI, they offer the best tweakablility, above any other make and are certainly the best constructed along with superb customer support, as for any other ive tried i can get my cpu stable at 4ghz no matter what voltages i try, it just wont last through Orthos.
never doubt quality boards mate.

now a reply to the topic starter:
im quite sure its not your mobo, i have a feeling it could be a problem with your VGA drivers, i notice that both your cards are different makes and due to this they could have different(possibly conflicting) BIOS features and code, try running your system with just 1 card installed, boot into safe mode and use driver sweeper to remove the previous drivers and install the latest drivers, then reboot and see if the problem persists
