I downloaded the 2.10 BIOS update for the ConroeXfire EsataII.
In the zip file I get ASRflash.exe and CRXFR2_2.10 (it just says 10file in the extention). Now what lol I have no floppy drive btw, can I just dump these on a CD or an MP3 player (its set to show as a hard drive).

Yes save it to your MP3 palyer, restart go to bios and you should have an option to upload the file and overwrite. I'm not familiar with ASRock boards but thats the general idea. Good luck!

I'm hoping I just wired up the power & reset buttons up wrong lol
It boots 4 times before the load screen appears. Always 3, and the 4th is when I hear the HDD spin up and it starts to load!

30 views and only one attempt at help
![]() Right, I fiddled with the wiring, nothing changed, tried the RAM (just incase) no difference. So to flashing. I dropped the two files on my USB HDD and set it as the first boot device (with Legacy enabled). Nothing, I went straight into windows? Tried F8, no options to decide boot? Tried to boot from the USB in the Boot box, nothing? Tried opening safemode with Command Prompt C:\G: G:\ G:\ASRflash This is program is not supported by a 64bit operating system!!! Any way to get this running without Windows running. Edit: I wonder if I can 'build' a working floppy drive out of the two dead one I have lol

Did you go into bios to run the flash utility with the new bios on your MP3? It sounds like its more than a bios problem. I suggest starting from the beginning and double checking if everything is in order.

The utility doesn't run at all, in BIOS theres no option to update anything, and booting the utility does nothing at al, when I do it in command prompt it says it won't run on a x64 system, which is why I need to get it going without Windows running, so I'm gonna try a floppy tomorrow.
