Hi guys,
In my BIOS I have the 'DRAM Static Read Control' Option: Auto, Disabled, Enabled I've been searching online for a while to findout what this means and/or does, no luck so far. I found a few posts about it on various forums, but they didn't really seem to know what it was all about. The motherboard manual doesn't say anything about it. Thanks in advance.

Iv always had it set to auto with no problems, i thinks it has something to do with the transaction booster option because you can only enable one of them at a time.
Ill try to see if i can come up with anymore info, iv always been curious about this as well...

From what i gather not much is known about this options beside the fact if enabled it will slightly increase read bandwidth and put the RAM under more stress.
A good article about a different board but the idea is still the same. Here

The DRAM static read control, according to Asus may effect OCing stabilty/performance by increasing memory controller performance when enabled. At 4.2GHz with 8GB ram I still have it disabled.
EDIT: Another bit of info for you contained Here

I see. So apparently if you Enable it, it stops the board from automatically down-clocking the RAM at FSBs of 500 or more.

I wouldn't say for definate what the actual setting achives, and to be honest I couldn't find much info on the settings either when I needed them. All I do know is that that when you get to clocking up high, it's really a matter of trial and error with some of the BIOS settings, and as ASUS state.. The settings may only improve stability/performance.
