I used to own a p5k premium, my cpu is the same as now and has a 1.2675 vid.
__________________The mobo handled these seetings well: -fsb 400mhz, linked with the ram (1:1 ratio) -multi @ 9 (400x9=3.6ghz); you can set it @ 8x if you want it @ 3.2ghz; -the vcore would be automatically set by the mobo at 1.36~1.38, either way you can set it manually- Remember to disable the c1e and eist settings, as well as the spread spectrum.

Sure. I can't exactly remember the bios settings on the p5k, but there should be an option which will allow you to manually set the cpu features. All you have to do is unlock the cpu multiplier (set it from "automatic" to "manual"), disable features like eist, c1e and thermal management. Then change the fsb from 266 to 400mhz, set the ram clock to 400mhz (thus linked with the fsb).
__________________You should try all of the above without touching the vcore (the asus boards have an automatic way of adjusting the voltage core). If you could help me with the exact names of the bios features I could be more precise about the settings you should change ![]() edit: I know my english sentences are rather hard to understand, and I apologize for that

your english is amazing, nothing wrong with you so dont think your english is rubbish because its not. I cant tell you about the bios in great detail because i dont have the board yet but could download the manuel online to see what is in the bios and let you later if you like.
thanks for the help.

the only thing that is throwing me off the board is that i dont know how to run a 1:1 ratio with the Memory and FSB. My asus p5kpl-am would not run 1:1 ratio when i set the memory at 667 option and FSB and 333 and that was a ASUS board with the same bios layout. how do i get 1:1 ratio?

To get a 1:1 ratio, I don't remember the intial settings but when your FSB will be at 300, your RAM should be at 800mhz. Someone correct me if I'm wrong? anyways if you download CPUZ in the RAM tab it'll tell you if you're in 1:1 or not
![]() Here's hoping that your ram will allow you to reach 3,2!
