I don't know if my current memory is very OCable though, they are those tiny Kingston rams that have 40% less PCB. My old PQI memory stuffed up and I had those lying around.

I dont mess with the CPU Margin Enhancement at all. I havent seen anyone post anything significant about it.
Cool thanks, I will try now. BTW is there any way to set the number of posts on one page, I don't really like switching pages all the time....

The only way to check is to isolate the ram as much as possible. So drop the CPU multi to x6. Then set NB: 1.26v, PLL: 1.50v, FSB Termination: 1.20v. Then set trans Booster to 10.

Then try pushing your FSB a little at a time past 400 FSB and run memtest on the ram ( www.memtest.org ). If I were you, I would try 450 FSB with the ram set to 900 right off the bat and see if it boots and passes memtest.

I'll probably settle for 400x8 for now if I can get it stable there. Might try oc'ing some more later on.

And also, what should I normally set the NB voltage, GTL, PLL, and FBS Termination to? I currently have them all on auto except NB which is on 1.3v

EDIT: I am trying 400x8 right now, with NB @ 1.3v, and CPU at 1.45v. It seems stable doing anything else but when I run Orthos small FFTs the computer freezes in a couple of seconds. Any idea why? Or is this normal for an OC fail?

Freezing != good. Have you tried inducing the lockups with Prime95 and other stress testers? (Or even a very demanding game?)

I did try very breifly with Prime95 but it doesn't frreeze immediately. But when my brother was playing FO3 it froze and crashed.

I'd be wary of keeping your memory at the speed it's at then. I'll take some pictures of my BIOS setup later to show what my settings are like; you can extrapolate from there and decide how best to set yours up.

For reference, my memory is 2 x 2 gig G.Skill DDR2-800, operating fine at 4-4-4-12.

Update: What I mean by the DDR2-800, DDR2-667 etc is in these screens. You'll notice that what *I* have are memory speeds only. If I change the FSB to 240, the line that says DDR2-800 changes to DDR2-960 or thereabouts, while the DDR2-667 line will change to DDR2-800.

You follow?

Any other questions?
