Default Will a BIOS Flash Ruin my RAID Partition

I'm wanting to flash the BIOS on my Asus P5Q but am running a RAID 0 setup and am worried that a flash my reset or ruin my raid partition.

Is there anything to be concerned about?

if it is software raid no if it is hardware raid then most likely RAID is a funny thing

You'll be fine I flashed the bios on my P5Q-E, once you flash you'll need to go in and of course reset your settings, i.e. swith from IDE back to RAID, after that, the board will see your RAID again and work just fine.

Yes, it will not ruin the array, you just need to set it up again in the BIOS after. No data will be lost

I have done it on my P5B Deluxe with RAID0 array.

You can swap motherboards and everything far as i know. You just have to have the same south bridge (and north bridge to be safe.) At least that is what i was told when i asked this question.

But as for BIOS flashing? I did it on my 790X, updating the BIOS and killed the DMI pool to run my Phenom 2 X4 920. Works like a charm, RAID and all.

I thought the Raid settings were saved to the motherboard. Not so?
