Hey guys,
I just got this really old (4 years) PC from my dad which has the gigabyte GA-8l915ME-GL motherboard. I was thinking about overclocking its processor a bit (Pentium 4 HT 3.0 Ghz), but I cannot seem to change any settings in the BIOS, which is why I think that I should update it. I´ve never flashed a BIOS before, so I´m going to need your help
Should I use the floppy disk method or what should I use. Is there any software that I could use? I read somewhere that there are utilities such as UNIFLASH that are used to flash BIOS. Again, I am completely new to the flashing BIOS process, so please explain in detail
Thanks a lot!
EDIT: Ok, I managed to update it, but the latest version did not unlock the option to change voltage, clock, etc. I guess you can close the thread, I´ll post about overclocking this chip in the appropiate section.
