Default MSI P7N SLI Pentium Bios - Trouble!

So I was talking to this guy, he's trying to OC his build.

MSI P7N SLI Pentium @ Intel Quad Core Q9550 2.83 ghz
- 8 GB memory
- Nvidia N260 GTX
- 800w Everest 80 plus 800 PSU

For some reason everything in his bios, except for the multipl. is locked. He tells me he is unable to unlock the bios and is forced to OC via. OS.. Does that make any sens at all??

Perhaps he has to press something like Ctrl+F1 during the POST. But otherwise, it doesn't make sense.

I'll check it out tonight when I get to him, but during the POST? (what is post).. :P

Any way, the funniest thing, his boards has got a special button that restarts the BIOS, so I found it rather weird that all the bios was locked for him.. he was talking about that people told him to OC in OS, didn't quite like that idea..

Well, it's the POST. It's the Power On Self-Test. It's what's happening when the motherboard is booting up before it begins trying to boot from something, such as the HDD to load the OS.
