Default Settings: PCI Latency Timer & Max Payload Size

I've ran into a couple of settings in my bios that I'm not too sure about.

PCI Latency Timer(CLK):
I've read up on this and understand what it is for. By default, my bios had it set at 32. From my reading I decided to set it for 48. I'm not too sure if this has really helped the management of my PCI-bus components or not. What should this setting be set at or how can I figure out a good setting for my rig?

**PCI Express Relative Items**

Maximum Payload Size:
I really don't know too much about this setting. I know that it sets the maximum TLP(Transaction Layer Packet) size. Which, in my understanding, is the number of bytes per packet transmitted between my GPU and my motherboard's PCI-E controller.

It is set at 4096B(bytes) by default. I have 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, and 4096 settings available.

Is this setting fine or is there any reason that it could/should be changed?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have one more question about a setting in my bios:

Within the menu for setting up my various fan options, there is a setting called CPU VREG Fan Control.

My bios says that it is an option for controlling the fan for CPU voltage regulator...I'm really not sure what that means.

The options for this setting are [On], which is the default setting, and [Default]. My bios says that when this setting is set to [On], the CPU VREG FAN is always turned on. When it is set to [Default], my bios says: "Use the on board fan control unit".

Is this setting used for when you have a 4-pin CPU fan installed? I run an aftermarket CPU HSF that connects with just 3 pins. The fan speed is set manually via a knob on the CPU HSF assembly itself. Which CPU VREG Fan Control setting should I use, or does it matter?

Thanks in advance!!

For pci freq. Should be somewhere between 30ish (usually 33)- and 38MAX
As for PCI-e Default should be fine, you would decrease it if you had issues.

I'm not asking about setting my PCI Frequency. This is about the PCI Latency Timer. This is a latency timer designed to be setup so that pci-bus communications don't conflict/collide(too low of a setting) with each other or so that pci-bus components aren't waiting too long to get their turn to communicate. At least, I believe this is how it works.

I don't think I'm having any problems with the PCI-E payload size setting. I'll just leave that at default=4096B.

Is a PCI Latency Timer of 32 okay for my rig?
