Any idea why my overclock is 100% stable with the 0410 BIOS, but wont even boot with the newest 0902?
Anyone else experience this? EDIT: Solved, It was vdroop. I had to enable a BIOS setting, save, THEN enable my OC after the restart.

It won't even let me go back to 0410... It doesn't even show on EZ-FLASH, probably because its a older version...

Hi Murlocke
I have an identical problem with Asus motherboard - also running W7-64bit. Upgraded bios to 902 and no joy. How exactly did you solve this? I'm not sure what the vdroop setting is etc.... Would greatly appreciate any assistance Dan Last edited by Dan001 : 09-08-09 at 06:21 AM Reason: name incorrect |

Try enabling Load Line Calibration and set your CPU Voltage Reference to X65 and NB Voltage Referenece to X67 as this will control your vdroop. Enable LLC only if you have a 65nm cpu, if you have a 45nm cpu then disable LLC as it will cause instability.
This is a great thread that will answer alot of your questions with the Rampage Formula: http://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...48-thread.html I had issues with the 0905 bios as well and reverted back to 0804, try that if you still have issues.

I had exactly the same problem with mine at 3.6ghz, so instead of messing about i just put it down to 3.01, works fine

You just have to set CPU Load Line Calibration to ENABLED that should solve de problem with me it did. And put vNB voltage and PLL voltage by hand dont leave it in auto. cheers
