After my initial POST and setting my CD/DVD drive as the first drive to boot to, I Keep getting this message, "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk And Press Enter."
__________________I tried putting my MB driver disk, the DVD-ROM disk, and even my burnt copy of vista. It then checks the drive and repeats the same message. What is it looking for? Or, is my MB not reading the drive?

the master boot record is messed up probably. Youd have to repair it with a windows installation disk.

All of my disks were burnt copies and no it didn't recognize any of them. I have an actual "real" Vista from newegg on its way in frustration.
__________________![]() My friend is also coming over tonight to see if we can create a "bootable" version that my disk drive will recognize. I'm hoping its the disks and not a hardware issue.

Just out of curiosity, was the "burnt copy of vista." (sic) burned with an iso burning program, or a copy of an iso?

I have yet to finish the install process though. It keeps saying windows isn't recognizing hardware when its time to select which HD to install it on.

1. make sure all plugs are in, HDD, and DVD rom
2. take cmos battery out for 3 mins, put it back it 3. boot it up, go to bios, switch primary boot device to dvdrom, seconday to harddrive 4. restart the system after you exit/save and make sure your Vista disk is in lemme know if this gets around the issue?
