Default What can I do? :(

My system is just slow as ****, I have no money for any upgrades and not sure what the hell I can do to help. I am pretty sure my BIOS is not set up the best it can be. My system is :

Intel E6850 @ 3.0GHz (stock)
Adata 4GB DDR2-800
Asus P5Q Pro
WD 1TB HDD @ 7,200
Gigabyte 8600GT (my 9600GT fried last week)
560W PSU

All cooling is stock, I have only one fan in my case so Im not sure how much I can overclock at the moment (I would like to go as far as I can though)

I hope someone can help me

A fresh Windows install should help you get some speed back. My Mini 9 is miles slower than that system but I've never called it "slow as ****"

Haha, Well I have been sick of this PC for a while now and to lose the 9600 really made it a whole lot worse(it might of been a slow card but I still got 100fps on UT3 all settings maxed) I just reinstalled today anyway.

I loaded all the default settings, then I turned off all the stuff I don't use. Then I got all the power saving settings and turned them off. Anything else I missed?

you could easily get your cpu to 4.0 but you dont have the cooling to do it. you could always short stroke the hdd but thats kinda dumb considering your obviously going for storage over speed with the 1tb
