Save your mobo and DON'T TRY IT. Read this thread:

http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...-advanced.html

I learned the hard way. I hacked mine and got my CPU to OC from 3.2 to 3.4, but then I tried to get the BIOS to recognize 4GB of RAM instead of 2GB and I bricked my mobo. I still owe error10 a video of me destroying that motherboard

All I am trying to do is to enable SATA or AHCI mode but unfortunately I don't know too much about BIOS's.

I am not saying it is impossible, I am just saying that you take a big risk when messing with your BIOS like that. It wouldn't matter what you changed, one bad flash and your mobo is toast.

It's only bricked so I am guessing you can replace the bios chip.

I was also considering buying a chip off ebay and replacing my current one from ACER. So I could see if I get the options the ECS G31T MOBO has.

Replacing the BIOS chip is not an easy task if it is soldered onto the board. You need a talon soldering iron at the least. I would assume your mobo has a soldered on BIOS chip as well.

I also tried to work with a BIOS that came from a board similar to my own. I had some success, but again, the end result was a bricked mobo.
