Unhappy rom checksum error

Details:
beginning several months ago, bios would show:
>BIOS ROM Checksum Error
>Keyboard error or no keyboard present
>Detecting floppy drive A media
>Drive A error. System halt
..with rapid beeps coming from the inside of computer.

I'd have to hold power button to turn off, then reload bios settings via the "CMOS Reloaded" option inside the BIOS. and it would boot up normally.
however, during the past few weeks, I would have to reload the bios settings twice or even three times to boot into windows.

I've changed the battery only a few days ago, yet the problem still persists.
...Dying motherboard? ):

yay a reply!

when you say check the memory, do you mean to test it with a program like memtest?

Just completely remove it. Try booting it with only 1 stick. If that fails, try another stick.

Also try different RAM to rule out whether or not your Gskill RAM is bad.

If it boots with one of the sticks, run a few passes of memtest on that stick to make sure its okay.

Sounds like an unstable overclock. Don't load your profile from the CMOS reloaded, reput in everything manually and check for 100% stability.

Also, this problem may occur when loading old ABS profiles on a new bios revision. So if you updated the bios, don't reuse any profiles (if this is the case.) And if you're not on the latest bios revision, get it! http://dfi.com.tw
