Right, I can't get my said mobo to flash. After extensively searching the web, I am stuck! I am repeatedly getting the BIOS ID Error, message when trying to flash using a USB drive.
__________________Firstly, it's a revision 1.1, which I can't find on the Gigabyte website. This 1.1 is shown on the mobo, on the box, and in Everest. So I know I'm not wrong there. I did download all 3 versions though, and they appear to be the same to the byte. However I have tried 2 or 3 of them anyway to be sure. I also found some 1.x versions of F10, which I tried also with the same results. I used @BIOS and tried using the F10 from file, and using their servers. Unfortunately Win7 doesn't seem to like this and after reaching 100% and been prompted to install the BIOS ("The screen will freeze for a few seconds" dialogue), It crashes. Despite being ran as Admin, and in compatibility mode with XP SP3. Second help thread of the day all aiming towards installing this godamn Q3800! 10 hours ago I was overwhelmed with nerdy excitment, unfortunately have spent most of the day messing around instead in an exadurated geeky gloom

Oh and a little extra, BIOS, @BIOS and Everest all state I am running P35-DS3R version F2 of the bios. So it should upgrade! This was bought new, too. Albeit a while ago... I've never flashed it before.

Well - how embarrassing. I cannot believe the mistake I made!
__________________I had spent hours, HOURS scouring the web to answer this problem, and was baffled when I couldn't find the rev 1.1 for this motherboard. I tried all sorts of methods to flash it!! Turns out I have the P35C (yes C...) DS3R. I missed off the C. Thanks for your time and I am very sorry to have wasted it over such a stupid mistake! I must have looked at the box 20 times whilst typing it into Google, double checking. It was late I suppose ![]() Thanks again, and if anyone is interested, my Q8300 is running now too!
