Default BIOS update

is it possable to update bios without reinstalling windows?also i dont have a floppy disk.is this possible with asus update

Yes.

You should have received a program with your motherboard like winflash or asus update. I have sucessfully updated Asus bioses on my old P4P800-VM by this method.

Just review the Asus site to find the correct utility

You can flash to a new bios without having to Install Windows again, You should generally get a program with your driver Cd that came with your Motherboard to flash it through Windows If not you can get it from there Main site.

yea im just worried do i need to put the bios on a floppy? or can i use a cd.also i have it OC so ill have to start from scratch right?

Yes you can also put it onto a cd Followng Instructions from the manufacturers site..And yes you need to start oc from scratch again.. To flash your Bios i reccomend doing it through Windows with a winflash program..Ill look it up for you.

Also before flashing your bios you should reset your CMOS and revert back to the optimised Bios (ie no overclock) settings then flash it

Just download the Bios the One at the top of the page and there should be a winflash program in with the bios. if not just do search for it.

but i need to no how to auto configure the ram timings
