im not sure the specs yet... but what bios does sony usually use? Is there any overclocking options (im assuming no) ? is there a unlocked bios for any of them?

Get SiSandra. It will give you a lot of information about the system. Often the mobos for these PCs are propriatory and cannot easily be tweaked. If you're lucky you can find a BIOS that will allow OC functions (I actually did that for an old Sony, but it still won't clock well since I cannot lock the PCI/AGP bus)

Actually, your Sony is almost the same as mine. (I have the PCV RX550). The motherboard in mine is an ASUS P4B-LX. As I said, mine could be flashed with a BIOS from the ASUS site, but no guarantees that it will work for you. OC is still limited... starts acting up at FSB = 210MHz.

its most likely a phoenix bios. it is not OCable bacuase no sony is bios OCable, but you can software OC it, which isnt recommended
