Default Not Budget Anymore!

Hi y'all. Well I just created another account here at wonderful overclock.net. I figured I would open a build log to try and get this one going since my other one never really took off... Well anyways, onto the build. I just ordered the parts so it will be a few days before I can post anything too important, and I'll dig out my digital camera to have pics.

CPU: Allendale e6300 - no explanation needed
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115005
MOBO: ASRockk Dual775-VSTA - Cheap, stable, and most importantly, CHEAP. Does any now if it will overclock at all? I heard about people getting upwards of 350fsb after some mods, but I can't seem to find them anymore.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157092
RAM: 1GB Patriot DDR2 667 CL5 bought locally for $100.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220145
GPU: eVGA 7900GS KO - The x850xt PE was out of stock and this was the best in the price range...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130056
CASE: Rosewill ATX- CHEAP, Side Window, I'll sleeve the PS with some extra I got laying around and I always use round cables and route all of them so, it might be budget, but it will still look good.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811147001
HD: WD Caviar 250gb Sata2 W/ 16MB Buffer - OpenBox, so Cheap and Fast
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16822144701R
DVD : Samsung SH-S182D - I've always used Samsung when I didn't want to spring for Pioneer and I've never had a problem. Just as fast and guess what, cheap. ( See the pattern here? CHEAP )
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827151133
CPU FAN: Gigabyte G-Power - Cheap and will look good with the rest of the blue. Friend has one, absolutely loves it once you get it seated right, and gives him fairly good results, (actually better than a freezer 7 pro I sold him).
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835128009
PS: Thermaltake 430w Purepower - The stock rosewill one started freaking out, which didn't surprise me with an e6300, 7900gs ko, 250gb hd, 1gb ran, big cpu fan, sound card, and 3 case fans.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153023

Now throw in some a very cheap sound card (sabrent 5.1, something other than onboard), cables, fans, and filters. Sleeve it all and hide anything possible, and I think I got me a pretty good build. The total I spent at the egg was just under $650, throw in $150 for the ram and ps, and I built it for just shy of $800. Now considering I sold my last rig for $600, I think I did pretty good.

Throw in some valuable info and I'll be more than sure to rep. Thanks.

UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES
Well, I finally got it all and threw it togethor. I changed a couple things first. I changed the ram for a stick of Patriot 1gb ddr667 ($100) because I couldn't wait for the ram. I also changed the power supply out for a thermaltake purepower 430w for $50. I did this because because the old one was struggling at stock speeds, and would flip out if I tried overclocking. Also, the cables on the old one wouldn't reach the hard drive cage in the case it came in, maybe I just expected too much after using a rosewill r6a34. Both were purchased at a local frys, (I know, cheaper online, but I couldn't wait). This bumped my total from $700 up to $800
So far I've gotten it to 2.05ghz, I'm testing to see if its stable right now. I've tried higher, but again it just freaks out, hmm... wonder whats up with that. Updating the bios is the first thing on my list. I ran 3dmark03 and got 17,730 3dmarks. Sorry, none of this is validated yet as I'm still tweaking it and it hasn't been hooked up to the internet yet.
Camera dead, I'll add the pics later tonight...

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. Jump to page 2 to see updates and my upgrades on the way....

edit 1 - couple typos.
edit 2 - updates, pics, yay!

Heh my build is going to be about £450.. so mine is even more budget than this :P But my dad found a site where he can get everything without any VAT! As long as he orders it through his work.. so that should cut off around 100-120 off the price :P

I could've easily made it cheaper, but I'd like to see what your computer will do. I still wanted something to play doom, fear, bf2, bf2142, graw, and so on... Love to compare scores sometime. :P I wanted an all around good system. Not something just cheap.
By the way, I got to ask, whats the deal with VAT? Is it a charge just to get stuff imported, or what?

Value Added Tax.. it's just something gay that the government have.. they get 17.5% of everything that's sold in a business, so the business charges that on top of the actual product price.

Anyway, I think my Dad's gonna get me the £600 build I wanted originally.. it'll be pretty cool. E6300, S3, 2gb GeIL ram.. x1950 pro..

Man, that VAT sucks... If I would've known I was going to get ddr2 I would've paid $40 more and gotten an asus p5b or a gigabyte s3. When I ordered everything the x1950pro was hard as hell to find. I'm interested in seeing what it will do. I've heard it does good, but my friends gets killed by my 7900gs ko. I think he messed something up, though. Not very reliable source, you know?

Bump for the pictures. What do you guys think of the wiring job? I spent a whole hour on it. Not Bad for $4 on wiring loom, electrical tape, and zip ties. I'm still tweaking it... So what do you guys think?
