I agree it seems high and even know after more testing when I run full load at 3.6 it gets above 60C.
Rice sized as in the size of a grain of rice? I followed the directions on AS an it says to do a line down the center of the IHS.

Dark electronic/ambient, maybe?
I am not sure what to call it. One of the pieces I am working on my wife says belongs in the sound track of horror movie or video game. I think she was trying to be mean but I took it as a compliment.Still working on the temp issue but not much progress. I think part of it might be bad air flow in the case. Right now I am 54C with just SuperPI running @ 350 x9. No thermometer in my room but I would be it around 72-75F (about 23C). Case has 2 60MM (?) intakes at the front, 120MM intake on the side. There was a 80MM exhaust on the rear but removed right now. I think I have some extra fans around so going to see if I can find a better on to put as an exhaust on the rear because what there is pretty useless.

Reason is OK - but it is quite a closed application.
Personally I use Cubase and a load of plugins/vst/i I am intending to set up cubase on my sig-rig as soon as I buy a new audio/MIDI interface - I just recently sold my terratec EWS88MT + breakout-box as I was desperate for cash

No website yet. Hell I have spent the past 2 years getting back into music and understanding how all the new computer stuff works, so have not even finished a song

Oh man the TPS II's are great for the money! I was using a cheaper Nady 8 channel solid state preamp, now i have 4 of the TPS II's and what a difference. Tubes make everything so warm round and fat i love it. And they can also be used as an outboard limiter. Havent tried that yet. But for 179 bucks a pop its a great deal.
