If you have the raid setup correctly it should ask you to press a key to setup the array.

well the two hard drives are plugged into the black ports, i went ahead and made the floppy disk with the jmicron raid drivers, trying to install windows again, still didnt see anything about setting up a raid after post.

edit: got to the screen with the hard drive/partition options and there were four unknown disk messages. i tried pressing c and nothing happened. as soon as i hit an arrow key i got the BSOD

well i RTFM and figured out i needed to press ctrl+i to create the raid array. after that was all done i got windows installed and everything, downloaded the 965 chipset update off of intel's site installed it and now the keyboard and mouse quit working. what am i supposed to do? i cant uninstall the update cause mouse and keyboard dont work. i tried unplugging and plugging them back in, that didnt work.

edit: right before the windows xp screen comes up the lights on the keyboard go off for a second, come back on for a second, then go off and stay off.

edit: tried enabling legacy usb support (was on auto) and still no go. format and dont install chipset update?

got it up and running, did a repair install and just didnt install the chipset update. i have a unknown device in device manager though and have no idea what it could be.

now to get a couple of things installed and then start askin questions about overclocking
