Top of the line rig!

Even though it's personal preference, i don't fancy that case.

My 3 year old rig's mobo just died on my and I can't find any good mobos with the same socket, so why not just go for the best . So, just to make sure I didn't miss anything, everything seems to be compatible right?

Edit: BTW, the case matches my peripherals (Razer Tempest Blue Theme)

Also, I believe the PSU I'm looking for (check first post) is currently out of stock, does anybody know where to get it along with the audio card (Razer Barracuda)

Last question I have, does anybody have any experience with these new top of the line products? Are there any differences when building your rig? Anything to watch out for?

Great build,

about the PSU you could go for the PC Powe & Cooling 750 which is a very powerful PSU and I think it would be enough for your system.

Linky

Also about the sound card, the one you want can be found here and its also cheaper than the Egg :

Linky

its from amazon and sold by ANTOnline which is a reputable seller and I bought some stuff from them before. So don't worry. You could look at the Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer if you want.

Good luck with your build, one last question, what monitor do you have ? you would need a large res. to stress that gpu a bit.

-Marboosh.

If you're implying that you're getting 4 x 1GB of RAM, I think it's overkill.

2GB will do you just fine.

Well I'm planning on using this desktop for quite a long time, so the day will come when people will need/"want" 4 GBs of ram XD.

I don't know if it will be noticeable or not but sometimes addressing 4gb compared to 2gb of ram will slow your system down ...but not by much...I think any experts know?

I have also never heard of the PSU and 1kw is overkill.

one thing I know for sure is that it is way to early to be dropping money on the 1 ASUS 90-C1CHFA-HUAY1 PhysX Processing Unit 128MB this is a neat idea but a not even close to being taken advantage of and buy the time programs arrive that will this card will be totally out dated.

for the amount of cash your spending you really should be doing more research.

yeah NOTHING other than like one game so far has made ANY use of the PhysX processor. so right now it does absolutely nothing in terms of performance.

i would drop the PPU thus. saves $2xx

also, 4GB of ram does make the system slower for now since the OS wont even utilize .5 of it. unless you are running a server you want 2 sticks of 1GB
so i would cancel 2 sticks
ALSO because its much easier and more stable to overclock with 2 sticks rather than 4. saves $3xx
with the $5xx you save, you CAN GET A BRAND NEW 24" 5ms WIDESCREEN LCD FLATPANEL MONITOR!!!

I second AMD's post. Physics Processors are a waste, as is the extra RAM.
