SHIPMENT MOSTLY ARRIVED!
damn case didn't come yet, I'll have to wait until monday until I can build it LAPPED SCYTHE INFINITY LOOK AT HOW CRAPPY THE FINISH IS ON THE SCYTHE INFINITY WHEN TAKEN OUT OF THE PACKAGE. there was some weird colored crap on it. Look now it's all shiny and reflective. But it is not as shiny and mirror-like like those i see in the lapping guides

i lapped the heck out of mine as well; noticed when lapping and when using a black marker on the base, that the contact base was higher on one side than the other. evened out and things are fine now. i didn't use the stock push-pin mounting and modified it with nuts and bolts ... most folks say the contact pressure with the default mounting is not very good. here's a link to my single vs. dual fan review of the infinity: http://www.overclock.net/intel-air-c...ml#post1583697 looking forward to seeing your temp/OC results.

it has been fixed with a bios update-modded- the real one should be out shortly, it was jsut the biostar 965pt didnt run the divider right but the asus p5b-d with the 804 bios did, its no big feal just the bios's will have to get upodated if they arent allready
good luck with your build man

parts and SCYTHE INFINITY MOUNTING MOD look at the nice bolts and knobs, all from HOME DEPOT. I asked one of the hardware guys to help me find the nuts and bolts, he was really nice.

Nice kit you have there. I bought my setup for $1500.00 CAD because some of my parts were used. (Including monitor)

OK
Initial boot successssss... but my windows cd is screwed up for some reason, when installing it says some fatal error about one of the arguments for the file is not correct, i guess it's a currupted cd anyways after checking my bios, I set everything to stock and running 1:1 ratio. with fan on max (1200rpm) with Lapped Scythe Infinity + Mounting mod the bios reports 40C system temp (which is abnormally high) and only 13C on CPU??? It'd make more sense the otherway around but the 40C is still high for stock and idle. Anyway is the bios temp trust worthy? Or do i have to use TAT for it's advanced thermal calculation? i don't have my camera, my sister took it so pics will be up some time next week Plus i have get the windows installed first EDIT PICS ATTCHED, MORE PARTS AND ASSEMBLE
