I hate waiting for stuff. Newegg did that to me a couple of times when I ordered on a weekend (duh) and onetime when my bank stopped the transaction (thinking I was being defrrauded I guess)

So now I make sure to order during the day before noon on a weekday.

Silly stuff.

But I know the feeling.

well parts have arrived.. so they did manage to get them shipped out yesterday so tonight i will be cleaning my workspace lookin for the the digicam and putting together a stock c2d system and run some baseline benches im really excited.. i just hope all the parts work fine and none are DOA .. i kinda like the psu .. the flex cable stuff looks pretty nice and it means i dont have to sleeve it .. god i hate having to do that stuff.. anyway .. hopefully sometime in the next 8-10 hours ill be posting back up from my new system...

by the way Druid i disapprove of your new avatar.. the other one was much nicer to look at

EDIT: just opened the motherboard packaged and pulled it out.. at first glance im really bummed out as i dont think the fitting for my phase system will work.. the board is rather compact and the pwms are bare i guess i will be going for mild overclocks once system is installed untill i can get better cooling for the pwms and the bridges.. all well i guess you get what ya pay for and thats why its a budget system

This one is a lot scarier don't you think?

Glad you are getting your parts--looks like I will be headed out of town for work this weekend so no more playing with the rigs for a while.

No way can I haul my 100 pound phase rig with me LOL.

Now a phased laptop

well the PSU was DOA .. long story short is im pretty much screwed with it and out the cash.. on the good side.. i picked up an antec 500 truepower 2.0 so hopefully this one works ill find out shortly the downside to this is the psu is a little deeper then the ultra so it might not fit right i might have to let it "hang" out the back a little till i can get a replacement

screw it.. double post its been an hour.. i couldnt resist bumping up some settings right away... i posted in at just a hair over 3ghz with all stock settings and temps that are sick.. i never had a system that was below 30c on air.. and im using a plain ass stock intel cooler.. i noticed it did auto it to a 3:4 on the ram.. with a fsb of like 336 or something.. first run of super pi stock neted me like 28 seconds or something like that.. after that minor tweak i popped off at about 18.. both of these times smoked my old p4 2.4 @ 4.05 ... man i cant wait to get some coolers for my northbridge and slap the phase unit on this thing

here are some pics of the things i get to toy around with you can see the water system in the case the phase system thats going to be in it.. even a pic of the lcd not much for the sound system that it will be hooked too but in the bottom picture that board going across the top is actually placed between the two main speakers if that gives you an idea of how tall it is.. the lcd is mounted on top of a 2.5 foot tall shelft system housing the audio and video equipment that will be used as part of the main pc plateform
