okay so im working on a very tight budget here.. would like to stay under 500 with shipping i will sadly be using some of the parts from my system below like the drives and the god aweful video card.. here is what im looking at so far.. ive pretty much made up my mind about the ram and the cpu becuase of price reasons.. but i am willing to listen to points of views of others..
what i need is a descent motherboard and a psu.. i saw a psu in the forsale section.. i just need to check the space in my case since there is a rad in the top of it.. i need something the size of an ocz powerstream.. i was looking at an asus board.. 975x set .. on average the boards were about 2-210 .. also thought about a gigabyte board since they are much less expensive .. so here is where i need the help... what board why and how much ...yes i will be phasing this system.. i hope.. i have a vapochill i bought a while ago just for this build.. hopefully it still works.. thanks for the advice upfront

DS3 or S3. Some say it's the same, I'm not going to say one way or the other. I have DS3 and love it.

if you recommend a powersupply i think it needs to be this size or smaller in order to fit
75x150x86 mm the one that used to be in the case was a ocz powerstream420 or something like that

Thermaltake and Xclio have some shorties that are modular too. I will dig up the links in a moment. How about the Biostar that before is using for his record breaking runs. The Biostar is about $100 I think...and one hell of an OverClocker.
Xclio 700 Watt Modular TT 700 Watt Modular Biostar 965T

Well no RAID on that one.
I am loving my DFI s939--If I get another C2D I will try out DFI for sure...

that biostar sounds okay .. im just to unsure after reading all of the reviews
its to 50/50ish and its only like 10 bucks different then the s3 .. as for raid im not to worried about that i have a raid controller card i bought for my 360 evilgrin .. those are some nice power supplys sadly i will have to skimp when it comes to power (yea i know) i was thinking maybe around 450-500watts im not running any heavy video cards

Not sure how great those PSUs are--but when I was looking for something for my case mod comp build it needed to be short, modular and at least 700 watts...
Not sure what the best would be--of course CHozart would be a great help.

well i did it.. and for under 500 bucks
i took a chance on the powersupply it had a neat feature or two that i liked.. it has okay rails 16a and an 18a i think that should be good enough for now i will certainly be adding to the system as money permits this was basicly i want to do it now and only have this much.. god im so tired of pimping this p3 here a screen shot of the parts actually ordered im excited about this build im predicting really good things out of that cheap e4300 .. next set of upgrades will be some sort of sata drive with large amount of space.. and a descent video card.. its gonna funny having all this performance under the hood and a busted ass windshield in the form of a geforce mx4000
